Livingston AreaFind your western paradise in Paradise Valley south of Livingston to Gardiner or in the beautiful Shields Valley north of Livingston to Clyde Park and Wilsall. Get ready to rodeo! Take in the NRA Gardiner rodeo and parade in June, the Livingston PRCA rodeo, parade and dance in July or the Wilsall local ranchers? rodeo and dance in August. Ready for a trail ride? The Crazy Mountains and the Beartooth and Gallatin ranges provide amazing backdrops for a horseback ride. Have a western cookout after a long day in the saddle or hit the local hot spots a western Saturday night! |

Big Timber AreaBe taken for a ride! No trip to Montana is complete with out a horseback ride and there's no prettier place than the Big Timber area. Take a ride along the Yellowstone, the Boulder or the Stillwater. Want more time in the saddle? Stay at a working or guest ranches and give the life of a cowboy a try. There are ranches around Big Timber and the Yellowstone River, McLeod on the scenic Boulder River, or try a ranch in the spectacular Rosebud and Stillwater Valleys around the small towns of Absarokee, Fishtail and Nye. Red Lodge/Beartooth AreaFrom Cooke City and Silver Gate at the southern end of Beartooth All American Road to Red Lodge and the nearby towns of Bear Creek, Belfry, Joliet, Roberts and Roscoe at the north end, you are in horse country. Watch for wild horses at the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range. Or take a leisurely ride on one of their tame relatives.
